17th April 2002

A fantastic display on the Prairies to the North of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
After many aurora's but cloudy skies, this was the first break I've had for a while.

This is an experiment with a Sony F707 Digital Camera. It takes good shots, and has a special noise reduction system. Exposures 30 seconds, f2.0.

Temperature was about -5C. I took the pictures during a cloud break, after it was too cloudy at the first location I tried. Some of the pictures show the Moon and Jupiter.

You can be alerted for free an hour in advance of an Aurora Borealis occuring at your location with ADEC.
